Hello! My name is Choudry Abdul Rehman. I'd love to talk with you about my Knox experience.
Your favorite place on campus:
Hope Center. It is such a peaceful place and I like socializing with other international students at the center. We have frequent events where you can connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
Professor new students should absolutely take a class with:
Professor David Bunde. He is really good at explaining complicated computer science concepts. I have enjoyed taking classes with him. He makes jokes during the class and tries to keep it interesting.
Knox class did you never expect to love:
Music and Social Movements. As someone who is primarily interested in STEM classes, this was something out of my comfort bubble but I loved this class. I learned so much about various local and international social movements and music. I was able to do my final project on a social movement in my country and I realized how music was such a huge part of that movement.
Best thing you've done since coming to Knox:
I went skiing with Union Board. As someone who loves outdoor activities, I love all the trips that Union Board plans for students—the best part, they are either super cheap or free!
The last thing you said "yes" to?
Marshmallow Roasting Night by the Office of International Student Services.
