This program is in partnership with East China Normal University (ECNU). The program began in Fall 2015 and is designed for students representing a variety of majors. There is no  language prerequisite.

Students enroll in four courses: Chinese language, an Independent Study Project under the supervision of an ACM visiting faculty director, and two elective courses chosen from ECNU’s Global Curriculum and taught in English. Students with advanced proficiency in Chinese language may choose undergraduate courses that are open to international students in ECNU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Students will live on ECNU’s historic Zhongbei campus in downtown Shanghai, in a residence hall for international students, and participate in activities and day trips sponsored by the Global Education Center.

Fall semester: Credits: 4.5 Knox credits for successful completion of the semester
