The Undergraduate Religious Studies Conference 2024

The inaugural Knox Undergraduate Religious Studies Conference, held in 2024, hosted student research and creative work from more than 24 students from Monmouth College, Western Illinois University, Rockford University, Loyola University Chicago and Knox College.

More than 100 people, including students, faculty and staff from Knox and neighboring institutions, as well as families and members of the local community, attended the nine concurrent sessions on Saturday, and over 60 people attended the Friday evening keynote lecture given by Prof. Olivia Stewart Lester (Loyola University Chicago) on the Sibylline Oracles. Morgan Fuksa (Loyola University Chicago), Megan Larkin (Rockford University) and Joshua Hinkle (Monmouth College) all won prizes for their outstanding work presented at the conference.

Knox College and the Religious Studies Program were delighted to showcase the original work of so many students and to celebrate the breadth of undergraduate research and creative work in religious studies.
