Clinical Psychology Term students are in the same setting as clinical psychologists, counselors, and social workers. They work with the chronically mentally ill, the developmentally disabled, families and children experiencing a variety of difficulties in adjustment, and women and children who are the victims of domestic abuse.

During the term, students completely immerse themselves in clinical and counseling psychology by taking two courses while completing a clinical psychology internship at the same time. Locations where students may intern include:

  • Center for Youth and Family Solutions
  • Galesburg Rescue Mission
  • Heartland Healthcare Center
  • Henry Hill Correctional Facility
  • KCCDD
  • Lutheran Social Services
  • Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center
  • Salvation Army
  • St. Mary's Square Living Center
  • Seminary Manor
  • Central Illinois Neurosciences

For students considering careers in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or social work, there is no better way to explore the possibilities of life after Knox than to immerse yourself in the experience.
