Deborah Tonne

Dr. Deborah Tonne recently completed her PhD in Mathematics at the University of California, Irvine, where her research focused on modeling complex social phenomena and linguistic evolution using differential equations and agent-based methods. She is currently working on data informed mathematical models of how slang is used in social media. 

Dr. Tonne is excited to join Knox and connect with students through applied math. In her free time, she enjoys playing with/tiring out her German Shepherd, knitting, and being outdoors.
