Meet Professor Seguino
Katherine Seguino is an experienced physics educator and academic leader who recently served as Science Department Chair and Instructional Coordinator for Science at Naperville Central High School in Illinois. Known for her inquiry-based teaching philosophy, she emphasized hands-on discovery over rote learning. She also mentored students in research programs at Fermilab and Argonne National Laboratory, and guided a team whose work earned a spot on the Late Show with David Letterman.
Now transitioning to higher education, Seguino brings her deep expertise in physics, her passion for mentorship, and her innovative approach to teaching to Knox College, where she will serve as an adjunct faculty member. There, she continues her mission to inspire critical thinking and scientific curiosity in the next generation of students.
