My general interest is in observational astronomy. I have largely worked in optical astronomy but specifically enjoy working on multiwavelength projects. Much of my work has focused on dwarf galaxies, which are the lowest-mass galaxies in the local Universe. These galaxies provide us a unique window into understanding the earliest galaxies in the Universe as well as providing crucial insight into how galaxies have evolved over time. More recently, my work has included various exotic stars such as interacting binary stars. These star systems can provide unique locations to study interesting physical phenomena such as shock formation, accretion flows, and effects of magnetic fields.
