Ron Fedie is joining us from Augsburg University. He is a dedicated educator and physical chemist who has been instrumental in shaping the chemistry curriculum for both majors and non-majors, teaching courses ranging from general and introductory chemistry to advanced physical and polymer chemistry. A firm believer that hands-on laboratory work is essential to mastering foundational concepts, Ron actively modernized the student experience by designing new, lab exercises that bridge lecture themes with contemporary instrumental techniques. 

A 1989 graduate of the University of St. Thomas (BA, ACS-approved Chemistry) and a 1996 PhD recipient in Physical/Polymer Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, Ron brings deep research expertise in fuels and renewable energy sources, polymer synthesis kinetics, and polymer characterization to the classroom, inspiring the next generation of scientists to explore the molecular foundations of energy and materials.
