Students dance on the south lawn of Old Main to celebrate the Indian Holi festival.

Yet another international organization at Knox, Best Buddies gives you the opportunity to make friends with people with intellectual disabilities in a program based on friendship.

Through a Best Buddies program in the Galesburg community, students get matched with members of the community that often go unnoticed. Simply by befriending those who are disabled, you have the chance to make a difference in the community.

As a program, Best Buddies organizes large group meetings, one-on-one activities for buddies, and a range of organized events on and off campus.

By becoming a member of Best Buddies, you can participate in meetings with other members and also set up meetings and outings with your Best Buddy on a schedule that works for both of you.

Through Knox's partnership with the local Best Buddies program, you'll have a chance to participate and stay involved during your years in Galesburg.

Best Buddies is an international organization. To learn more about the organization as a whole, visit the Best Buddies website.
