Write site features Knox literary journal

Knox College's student journal of literature and the arts, Catch, has been named "Magazine of the Month" for March 2007 by the Forum for Undergraduate Student Editors (FUSE), an on-line resource for young writers.

The longest running, continuously published college literary journal in the country, Catch is the first college magazine to be featured by FUSE. The site brings together information on academic programs, seminars, internships and careers in the field of writing.

In the past six years, Catch has won four national and international awards, including top honors from the Association of Writers and Writing Programs and the Associated Collegiate Press.

"It's a well-deserved honor that Catch is the first college literary journal selected by FUSE to showcase some of the very best work being done by student writers today," said the journal's advisor, Nick Regiacorte, assistant professor of English at Knox. "The writing faculty at Knox encourage students to develop as writers, and the student staff of Catch has shown strong commitments to finding lively writing and to publishing that writing in the pages of Catch."

Knox has published a student-run literary journal for more than 100 years, titled Catch since 1969. It is published twice a year and features works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, visual art, drama, music, and theatrical design.

Founded in 1837, Knox is a national liberal arts college in Galesburg, Illinois, with students from 45 states and 44 nations. Knox's "Old Main" is a National Historic Landmark and the only building remaining from the 1858 Lincoln-Douglas debates.
