"As the 2004 Presidential election approaches, American citizens are shaping the growing discourse on America's leadership in the world," said Robert Seibert, Murphy Professor of Political Science and co-director of the Knox College Global Studies Center. "The People Speak series offers an opportunity for the citizens of Galesburg to get involved in the discussion of these critical issues and explore how aspects of these policies affect their lives and communities, and help guide the course of America's role in the world."
Andersen, who came to Knox in 1972, is an expert in international economics and economic development. Broughton has taught at Knox since 2001 and has done extensive research on the economic and social effects of the closure of the Maytag refrigerator factory in Galesburg and the transfer of jobs to Mexico. Sundberg has a bachelor's degree in economics from Knox College, a master's in business from Western Illinois University and a doctorate in business from St. Ambrose University.
