Technology Resources
From cutting edge computer modeling and research technology to Ethernet-wired dorm rooms to wireless access to five public computer labs and specialized labs in George Davis Hall, Knox puts great computing resources at every student's disposal. Knox also supports wireless connectivity to its fully switched data network. More than 100 wireless access points have been installed, covering all academic and residential buildings, as well as much of the 86-acre campus. Library Resources
Seymour Library
, recently ranked 15th in the country by the 2002 Princeton Review, is a student's dream, with more than a quarter of a million books, extensive reference assistance, and subscriptions to more than 700 periodicals. The building's interesting and unique spaces and quiet study rooms are rich in history and provide students with a study atmosphere steeped in the academic tradition. Special collections include the Finley Collection of Midwest History, the Strong Collection of 18th- and 19th-century maps and photographs, and the Hughes Collection of manuscripts and first editions from Hemingway and his "Lost Generation" contemporaries. Seymour is also part of the Interlibrary Loan system, which allows you to borrow books from other college, university and public libraries.

Remodeled in 1992 with support from the Estate of Ward L. Stephens and the Illinois Board of Higher Education, the Science & Math Library, located in the Umbeck Center, houses the scientific and technical collections of the College. The Music Library at the Center for the Fine Arts (CFA) has collections of compact discs, vinyl record albums, printed music scores, and a core reference collection. Listening equipment for all types of audio formats are available.

Educational Centers

Cultural Centers
Knox supports the dynamics of its diverse campus community through several cultural centers that provide living and learning space, offer counseling and employment opportunities, and schedule speakers, performances and other events. The ABLE Center for Black Culture maintains a resource center for artifacts and information on the black experience.  The Human Rights Center is made up of several student organizations concerned with social justice, peace and diversity. The International House provides cooperative living arrangements for international students and meeting space for all students interested in cross-cultural affairs. In 2001, Lo Nuestro, a campus organization dedicated to making the Knox experience richer and more relevant for Latino students, opened the Casa Latina Cultural Center.

The Lincoln Studies Center
The Center sponsors research, publications, conferences and lectures on the life and work of Abraham Lincoln. This is a natural for the College, since Knox and Lincoln go way back. (Knox was the site of the famous 1858 Lincoln-Douglas Debates when Lincoln unequivocally condemned slavery as immoral.)
