Knox College recognized the six seniors between games of a doubleheader against Illinois College on Senior Day on Saturday, April 26. The six seniors - Ann Marie Albright, Katie Dura, Monyca Fisher, Jenny Golz, Bridget McCune, and Katie Schneider - wrapped up their careers as the Prairie Fire closed the 2008 season the next afternoon with a doubleheader at Blackburn College.

Ann Marie Albright, from Louisville, Colorado (Holy Family), appeared in 110 games over her four-year Knox softball career. The outfielder batted .267 with four home runs, 39 RBIs and 23 runs scored in her career.

Katie Dura, from Edwards, Illinois (Brimfield), appeared in 114 games over four years. The catcher batted .344 for her career, including a .442 average this season. She also belted five of her six career home runs in 2008.

Monyca Fisher, from Zion, Illinois (Zion-Benton Township), started all 116 games she played in her four-year career. The first baseman hit .347 with 24 doubles, five triples, and six home runs. She drove in 51 career runs.

Jenny Golz, from Evergreen Park, Illinois (Evergreen Park), appeared in 108 career games. The shortstop collected 28 hits, including three doubles in a Prairie Fire uniform.

Bridget McCune, from Iowa City, Iowa (Regina), won nine games in her career, four of which came this season. She struck out 133 batters. McCune picked up one hit in two career at bats.

Katie Schneider, from Evanston, Illinois (St. Scholastica Academy), appeared in 104 games, spending time in the outfield and behind the plate. She hit .245 for her career and batting .316 this season. All four of her career home runs came in 2008.
