Adam Estergard, from Urbana, Illinois (Urbana High School), was named the Knox College Prairie Fire Performer of the Week on Monday, February 25. The junior averaged 9.0 points and 8.0 rebounds while not committing a single turnover in two games last week.

Estergard started the week by scoring six points and grabbing a team-best eight rebounds in a 100-80 loss at Grinnell Wednesday. The 6-1 guard added two assists and one steal while not recording a turnover in 26 minutes against the Pioneers' pressure defense.

Saturday, Estergard capped the season with a 12-point, eight-rebound performance in a 61-56 win over Lake Forest. He handed out two assists while playing 34 minutes.

This season, Estergard led the team in scoring, averaging 10.1 points per game; rebounding, averaging 6.0 boards per game; and minutes played, averaging 31.2 minutes per contest. He was second on the team in steals (1.3 per game) and third on the club in assists (1.7 per game). The Knox men's basketball team finished the 2007-08 season with an 8-15 overall record and a 7-9 mark in Midwest Conference play.
