Three Knox Women's Basketball Players End Careers
Golz, Finley, and Allison wrap up careers on Senior Day

Three Knox women's basketball players saw their careers come to an end on Senior Day on Saturday, February 23. Jenny Golz, Jenna Finley and Andie Allison donned the Prairie Fire uniform for the final time in front of a large Basketball Homecoming Day crowd in a loss to Lake Forest College. The three made a great impact on the Knox women's basketball program during their careers.

Jenny GolzJenny Golz, an Elementary Education major from Evergreen Park, Illinois (Evergreen Park High School), was joined by her parents, John and Patty. During her career, she scored 61 points, grabbed 86 rebounds and handed out 55 assists. She will be student teaching in the fall.

"Jenny's senior season was her best," said Knox head coach Wendy Rogers. "She worked tirelessly in the weight room over the summer and her maturity set a great example for our younger players. Jenny's passion for basketball and the White Sox made her a pleasure to coach."

During her career, she scored 653 points, grabbed 234 rebounds and handed out 189 assists. She is 17th on the all-time Knox career scoring list. Finley will be student teaching in the fall.

"Jenna has been a tremendous leader both on and off the court," said Rogers. "She had the best year of her career this year and made tremendous contributions to changing the culture of the Knox College women's basketball program in her career."

Andie_AllisonAndie Allison, a Secondary Education and English Literature major from Galesburg, Illinois (Galesburg High School), was joined by her parents, Bill and Joyce. She has been an Academic All-Midwest Conference selection and was voted the Prairie Fire's Most Valuable Player last season. Allison, a two-year team captain, appeared in 85 games with the Prairie Fire and is one of only 53 players to earn four varsity women's basketball letters at Knox. "Andie, along with Jenna, led the way in scoring all season long," said Rogers. "On top of her contributions on the court, Andie led the changing of expectations for the Knox College women's basketball program."
