Zack LoMonaco Named Prairie Fire Performer of the Week
Junior finishes with four tackles and forces a fumble in Knox's loss at Ripon.

Zack LoMonaco, a senior from Lansing, Illinois (Marian Catholic High School), was named the Knox College Prairie Fire Performer of the Week. The senior defensive back was credited with four total tackles, including one tackle for loss, and forced a fumble as the Prairie Fire football team lost at Ripon College 28-10.

Three of LoMonaco's four total tackles were solo stops. His forced fumble came early in the third quarter after a Knox field goal had trimmed the Prairie Fire deficit to 22-10. Kevin Corley recovered the fumble to end the ensuing Red Hawks possession.

Knox returns home to host Beloit College Saturday, Sept. 22. Kickoff at the Knox Bowl is slated for 1:30 p.m. The game will be available on 1590 WAIK Radio and www.midwestconference.tv.
