The Health Center is open during regular clinic hours. If you think you might have the flu and need medical care, be sure to contact your health care provider or the Knox Health Center right away.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2009: The Galesburg Clinic will hold an H1N1 flu vaccine clinic for students Thursday, October 22. The H1N1 vaccine is in flu mist form -- available only for students who do not have any underlying medical conditions (such as asthma or diabetes), are pregnant, or have recieved the seasonal flu mist vaccine in the past 28 days.
The flu clinic will be held in Sandburg Lounge on Thursday, October 22, 10 am-2 pm and from 5-7 pm.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2009: The Galesburg Clinic will hold flu vaccine clinics for students only. The first will be on Thursday, October 1, in the Knox-Lombard-Gale rooms in Seymour Union. The vaccine will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Another clinic will be held the week of October 19. Specific date to come.
UPDATE MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2009: The Knox County Health Department urges all community members to get vaccinated against seasonal flu now and to continue practicing the 3 C's of prevention:
Clean - wash your hands frequently to prevent the spread of germs;
Cover - your cough and sneeze with a tissue or sleeve, not your hand; and
Contain - contain your germs, stay home if you are sick.
Knox has installed hand sanitzer dispensers in academic buildings and common areas on campus and has increased cleaning in common areas such as computer labs.

UPDATE JUNE, 2009: The World Health Organization (WHO) raised the worldwide pandemic alert level to Phase 6 in response to the ongoing global spread of the novel influenza A (H1N1) virus. A Phase 6 designation indicates that a global pandemic is underway. Learn more.
