Chad EiseleChad Eisele
Director of Athletics

Experience
Chad Eisele became Director of Athletics at Knox College on May 8, 2006. Eisele is a native of Peoria, Illinois, and a 1993 graduate of Knox.

Eisele competed in football, baseball, and track while at Knox. A defensive back for the Prairie Fire, Eisele was an All-Midwest Conference selection three times. In 1989, he tied the school record of three pass interceptions in a single game.

Upon graduation, Eisele served as defensive secondary coach at Knox for one season. From 1994-97, he was defensive secondary coach and defensive coordinator at Wayne State University. He was an assistant football coach at Lake Forest College from 1997-2000. He took over as head football coach at Lake Forest from 2000-05, compiling a record of 31-20. In 2002, Eisele led Lake Forest to the NCAA Division III playoffs and was named Midwest Conference Coach of the Year. He also served as head coach of the Lake Forest men's tennis team and won a conference championship in 1999. Eisele was the head football coach at Minnesota State-Moorhead for one season prior to returning to Knox.

Kim SchraderKim Schrader
Assistant to the Athletic Director
Head Volleyball Coach
Years at Knox: 1997 to present

Experience
Kim Schrader was named the head volleyball coach at Knox College on April 9, 2007. She also serves as the assistant to the athletic director.

Schrader has been involved in intercollegiate athletics for 14 years, including the past seven years in the Knox College athletic department. She is the assistant to the athletic director and was an assistant women's basketball coach with the Prairie Fire during the 2005-06 season.

"I care fiercely about the student-athletes of Knox College, and am thrilled at this opportunity to contribute to the positive growth of our great College by coaching a sport I love," said Schrader.

As a student at Marquette University, Schrader was a three-year letterwinner on the volleyball team. She served as head volleyball coach and assistant softball coach at Quincy University for three years before joining the Knox College admissions department in the summer of 1997. She moved to the Knox athletic department in the summer of 2000.

"Kim has done a great job fulfilling her duties in my year on the job," said Knox College Director of Athletics Chad Eisele. "To see Kim in a new role at Knox is exciting. I know she is looking forward to this new opportunity."

Brian ThiessenBrian Thiessen
Sports Information Director
Years at Knox: 2006 to present

Education
M.S., Sport Management, 1998, Western Illinois University
B.A., Journalism, 1996, St. Ambrose University

Experience
Brian Thiessen was named the sports information director at Knox College in August 2006. He spent the previous six years as the Director of Sports Communication Services at Upper Iowa University.

After college, Thiessen started his career as an intern in the media relations departments of the Milwaukee Brewers in 1998 and of the San Antonio Spurs during their NBA Championship season in 1999. Originally from Davenport, Iowa, Thiessen also has experience as a sports writer, working at the Rock Island Argus and Moline Dispatch for two years.
