From the hard-hitting, "A-League" volleyball to the leisurely "just-for-fun" softball league, more than half of all Knox students participate in informal athletic activity. The high level of interest allows any student to participate, and serves as yet another way for members of the campus community to get involved. Intramural sports are organized in leagues by the student-directed Intramural Board. Regular offerings include volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer, dodgeball, and softball. Special events have been held in tennis, cricket, sand volleyball, ping-pong, billiards, cross country, and swimming.
Club Sports Club Sports are organized by groups of students with a shared interest in a particular sport. Even though our club sports are not NCAA-affiliated, they are very competitive. In fact, Knox's water polo team finished tenth at the American Collegiate Water Polo Association's national tournament in 2005. While students create the clubs, Knox helps with organization and club expenses. Knox College club sports include water polo (co-ed and women's), men's and women's lacrosse, men's volleyball, fencing, and ultimate Frisbee.
