Experience
Jami Strinz was named the head softball coach and assistant volleyball coach at Knox College on April 10, 2007. She also serves as the Senior Woman Administrator at Knox.

Before joining Knox, Strinz spent the previous two years at Beloit College, serving as the head softball coach in 2006 and 2007 and the head volleyball coach in the fall of 2006. She led the Buccaneer softball team to 25 wins in her two seasons at the helm. In her only season as the head volleyball coach, Strinz guided Beloit to a 21-9 record, a Midwest Conference championship, and a berth in the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

An Oregon native, Strinz earned her degree in English from Bradley University in 2001. While playing softball for the Braves, she saw time as a pitcher, first baseman, third baseman and designated hitter. After her graduation, she began her coaching duties at Sheldon High School in Eugene, Ore. She also served as a player and coach for several amateur softball teams in Oregon. She was a player and coach for the Ireland National Softball Team from 2002-2004, and was an assistant softball coach at Texarkana Junior College (2004) and at George Fox University in Oregon (2004-05).

Strinz played overseas with the Langhirano team in the Italian Professional Softball League as a pitcher and third baseman in 2004-05. She also served as an assistant coach, where she worked with about 100 girls and women between the ages of 8 and 35. Her primary coaching duties were working with pitchers and hitters at all levels within the club as well as managing Langhirano's junior program. She conducted numerous pitching and hitting clinics throughout Italy.

Strinz comes from a coaching family. Her father was a fastpitch softball coach for more than 35 years, and was one of the original founders of high school softball in Oregon. Her mother coached both volleyball and softball. Her younger sister is the head softball coach at Dakota Wesleyan University and had a successful playing career.
