#70 Matt Armitage
Matt will compete at offensive tackle this fall and provide veteran leadership.  He is coming off an outstanding off-season.  "Matt is one of the most positive players that I have coached and his leadership will be a key this fall."

#34 Matt Briggs
Matt a two year starting safety and two time captain will make the move to the weak corner position this fall.  "Matt has selflessly agreed to make a position change as a senior to what is a key position in our defense at weak corner.  He is one of our best and fastest athlete and we look for him to have a big year."

#51 Jim Davis
Jim is entering his fourth year as a starting offensive linemen and his second as a team captain.  He is one of the strongest and hardest working players on the team.  "Jim provides our program with great leadership and tremendous enthusiasm.  There is no doubt that he is going to have a great year at offensive tackle."

#19 Drew Glowacki
Drew begins his second year as a starting strong corner for the Praririe Fire defense.  "Drew is one of the most physical corners in our league and we look for him to be even better this fall as a senior.  He comes to play everyday."

#90 Zach Lenox
Zach is a three-starter at defensive end and is coming off an all-conference junior year.  "Zach has as much ability as any defensive linemen in the Midwest Conference.  He has gotten stronger every year to go with his outstanding speed and size.  We look for him to be a force all year on the defensive line."

#74 Justin Loepker
Justin returns for his senior year after being a part-time starter during both his sophomore and junior year.  "Justin is always up and ready to go.  He has gotten bigger and stronger and better each year.  He can play any position on the offensive line and will be very important to our success this fall."

#20 Neil Magruder
Neil battled injuries his entire junior year, but return healthy this fall.  He will make the mover from strong safety to free safety this fall.  He also is one of the top special teams players in the conference.  Neil will serve as a team captain.  "Neil is extremely important to our team.  He is a gamer  and provides quiet leadership to our team.  He will move to free safety this fall where he will be in a great spot to make big plays."  We are excited have him back and healthy and ready to win."

#15 Anthony McClenathan
Anthony made the move to wide receiver as a junior after being the starting quarterback his sophomore year and part of his junior year.  He will compete for a starting spot.  Anthony also will serve as a team captain this fall.  "Anthony is one of the most selfless players around and he plays so hard.  We expect him to play a key role this fall at receiver and provide our offense with key catches."

#71 Brad Phillips
Brad enters his fourth year as a starter for the Knox offensive line.  A rotating starter at offensive tackle as a freshmen, Brad has started every game since.  He is coming off an all-conference year and is one of the strongest players on the team.  "Brad almost always beats his man and should be one of the best offensive tackles in the conference this fall."

#94 Luke Sherman
Luke enters his second year as a starting defensive end and is coming off an all-conference year.  "Luke is one of the best pure athletes on our team and I think in the entire conference.  We will look for him to be a tremendous force this fall.  He also wants to win as much as anyone."


#13 Jake Ayers
Jake started two games at quarterback in 2004 before a knee injury ended his season.  He returns this fall as a back-up quarterback and veteran leader.  "Jake did a good job last year until the injury and we are excited to have him back.  He is a leader and a coach on the field.  Jake will be very important to our quarterback position, not only playing, but also helping our young quarterbacks develop."

#30 Patrick Marvin
Patrick returns at linebacker where was a reserve last fall and a very important member of the special teams.  He will compete for playing time this fall at linebacker and again be one of the top special teams players.  "Patrick is such a positive member of our team who has gotten better and better as linebacker and special team player." 

#1 John Bernard
John, a three year starting strong safety, returns for his senior year after being out of school last fall.  A big play performer throughout his career at Knox, John will be counted on to add a physical presence and turnovers.  "We are very excited John is back.  He has a an outstanding football mind and will be one of our hardest hitters.  He also has a knack for turnovers at key times."

#2 Tim Pauley
Tim, a starting pitcher on the baseball team, joins the Knox football team this fall for the first time this fall and will compete for a spot at receiver this fall.  "We are very excited Tim is coming out for football as he is one of the best and fastest athletes at Knox College.  He was an excellent receiver in high school and we look for him to have an impact this fall."


#28 Chetak Patel
Chetak joins the Knox Football team this fall for the first time and will compete for a spot in the secondary and on special teams.   "Chetak is fine athlete and was an outstanding player in high school.  We believe he has the ability to compete for playing time this fall at either safety or corner."
