
Students attending high schools in Western Illinois who show strong academic promise and a love for learning are eligible for a scholarship of $10,000 per year ($40,000 over four years). Western Illinois Achievers Scholarships recognize the special relationship between Knox College and Western Illinois.
Two students from each high school in Western Illinois will be chosen for the awards. Candidates should have taken challenging courses, achieved at a high level, and contributed to their schools and communities.
Scholarships will be awarded at high schools in the following Western Illinois counties: Fulton, Henderson, Henry, Knox, McDonough, Mercer, Peoria, Rock Island, Stark, Tazewell, Warren, and Woodford.
Application Guidelines
To be considered, students should complete an application for admission. An admission interview and a campus visit are strongly recommended for all candidates.
Notification
Candidates are notified of scholarship awards at the time of admission.
General Scholarship Guidelines
Scholarship candidates must be admitted to Knox and be citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Scholarship recipients often qualify for additional need-based financial assistance, including grants, work-study programs and loans. Scholarships are renewable annually as long as recipients remain in good academic standing.
