If you come to Knox, you'll find that the professors here haven't just read a lot. Many of them have recently written and published their own books, too. Our professors have published on topics ranging from women in twentieth-century Puerto Rico to the current-day psychology of our nation's consumer culture.
In the last year alone, 60 percent of our faculty -- nearly all of whom have earned Ph.D.s or terminal degrees in their areas of expertise -- have published, presented or publicly performed their works or have received grants or awards for their scholarly achievements. That means you'll be learning from the people who are experts in their fields, who'll engage you in their research.
But most importantly, Knox professors are accessible to you while maintaining their scholarly pursuits. Our student-faculty ratio is as low as 12:1 -- which means they'll know a lot more about you than just your name. They'll become your mentors. In fact, 95 percent of Knox seniors have had dinner at a professor's home by the time they've graduated. |
