Don't be confused—if you hear people at Knox talking about "casual Mexican dining," they're not referring to a local restaurant or to eating in the "caf" on taco day.

Instead, they're talking about Ultimate Frisbee. "Casual Mexican Dining" is the team name for Knox's Ultimate Frisbee club.

If you're new to the game: Ultimate Frisbee is a co-ed, non-contact sport that combines the strategies of soccer, football, and basketball—lots of throwing and catching of a disc. It's also lots of fun. (Just ask the player who competes in a kilt.) And Ultimate Frisbee has to be one of the most communal club sports on campus—we even have a Knox Alumni team.

But while "Mexican Dining" may be casual, the competition is intense! Our club practices the entire school year and travels to tournaments throughout the Midwest in the fall and spring, playing against groups from Western Illinois University, Illinois State University, and other colleges in the region. Knox also hosts both indoor and outdoor tournaments, including the annual Natalie Veneziano Memorial Winter Tournament, named in honor of a late alumna.

The club is open to players of all abilities.
