The Knox-Sandburg Community Concert Band

There are a plethora of musical opportunities at Knox. One of them, in which Knox students can further integrate themselves with members of the local community, is the Knox-Sandburg Community Concert Band.

The band is open to students from Knox, students from Carl Sandburg College, and all members of the community. The band, founded in 1985, is comprised of one-third of each of these groups, making it a wonderful blend of locals and students.

The band performs at the end of every term on places like the Knox campus, the Carl Sandburg Community College campus, and the beautiful Lake Storey Park. The band rehearses weekly and all are welcome to join.
