Fencing

FencingThe Knox College Fencing Club generally meets twice during the week for two hours. Saturday open bouting normally runs from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and is open to all members. Practices are not mandatory, but based solely on interest in the individual, allowing for participants to set their own schedules. No experience is necessary and the club provides all the equipment students will need to learn to fence.

Throughout the year, participants have the opportunity to go to several different tournaments and compete. Early on, there is usually a novice tournament held for members with the least experience to help introduce them to the world of competition. Like practice, these competitions are also not mandatory.

The Fencing Club also generally invites a fencing maestro out a few times each year for a weekend workshop which all interested club members are encouraged to attend.

The club generally meets in the Field House in the E. & L. Andrews Fitness Center, and looks forward to seeing you there.
