Dodgeball

Some are inspired by the 2004 flick, others by childhood memories of winging those red rubber balls across the gym, and still others are just taking a high-energy study break. If you fit into any of these groups, or just like the fun competition of the game, the intramural dodgeball team is for you.

Typically, almost a dozen dodgeball teams compete during the winter for the highly coveted "Intramural Champion" t-shirt and, of course, the title.

In 2007, the big deal amongst the dodgeball community was the Beta Ballers winning the tournament. While there is often heated competition between teams, there is also never a loss of sportsmanship or fun.

While the co-ed league is organized, and the better-organized teams tend to do better, the ambiance is definitely casual. If a team is short a player or two, and you happen to be wandering through T. Fleming Fieldhouse, you could very well be invited to join.
