Step Knox

The Step Knox Team (SKT) is a fresh and new club on campus that was started in 2012. Stepping is a form of percussive dance in which you use your body as an instrument to produce rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand claps. The Step Knox Team teaches people the history and formatting of stepping. The forms of stepping that will be taught are "Fraternity style stepping" and "Chicago style stepping." Both of these forms are different and easy for anyone to learn.

The SKT will show Knox a new culture of dance, and will add to Knox's multicultural community. The club is open to everyone on campus, giving you a chance to be part of the first step team on campus. The team will help raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club and create unity among the members. This club has created another outlet of dance, entertainment, and school spirit for students while also encouraging a new form of exercising, promoting fitness, and unity.
