Years at Knox: 1991 to present Education M.F.A., Scenic and Lighting Design, 1996, Carnegie Mellon University B.A., Theatre and Philosophy, 1993, Knox College Current Interests "Along with staying on top of all the design and technical elements of the Knox College Department of Theatre and Dance, I also continue to pursue design opportunities in professional theaters in Chicago. While at Knox, I have designed at least one show, if not two or three, in Chicago each year. This increases my awareness of current trends and cutting-edge technology, which enables me to better educate my students by referencing my real world experiences. I also try to involve my students in these productions through the construction and painting of some elements of the set. This provides students with unique opportunities to work on professional Chicago productions while maintaining their studies at Knox." I worked on several student-run Studio Theatre productions, and he was as eager as we were to present the best show we were capable of, and graciously assisted me whenever I came to him. At the same time, he scrupulously avoided taking over my projects. In anything I undertook, Craig (and the rest of the Knox Theatre Department) gave me the freedom to fail, but the tools to succeed." —Ted DeLong, Theatre Major
