You'll have multiple opportunities every week to be someone clapping in the audience or in the stands at a performance or sporting event. But why not step into the spotlight yourself?
If you sing, act, dance, or play a musical instrument, you can take the stage in productions big or small, since Knox students have formed more than a dozen performing arts groups (jazz ensembles are particularly popular on campus). In fact, during Knox's unique Repertory Theatre Term, you can spend an entire term researching, designing, constructing, rehearsing, and performing two full-length plays.
If you produce artwork, you might display your pieces in an art show; if you write poetry or other creative works, you might read your compositions at a literary event or have your work included in our award-winning Catch literary magazine.
If you're drawn to playing sports, you'll like the fact that Knox fields 21 NCAA Division III intercollegiate teams plus club teams (fencing, lacrosse, rugby, Ultimate Frisbee, water polo) that compete against other colleges. And our intramural sports program will find you in spirited competition with your campus peers (as well as with faculty/staff teams that often join in the fray) playing basketball, indoor soccer, softball, and volleyball.
