At Knox, you'll join a community of engaged, intellectually curious learners who are attracted to free inquiry, independent thought, and diverse perspectives.
Your professors won't just stand in front of classes and "profess" their wisdom, telling you what to think as if you were a mere note taker.
Instead, you'll actively discover how to learn and think, because you'll learn by doing-through research (85% of our students take on research/creative projects or independent study), internships (95% of our students work at internships, gaining job-specific experiences and skills), and off-campus study (close to 50% of our students participate in more than 30 programs in the U.S. and 19 other countries around the globe).
But you'll be just as active and engaged in the non-academic areas of your life, as well. Knox has 100+ student organizations and clubs on campus, multiple events and performances each week, 21 varsity athletic sports and several club and intramural sports, volunteer opportunities (our students donate more than 9,000 hours per year of service in Galesburg and beyond), activism projects, and more.
