What's your major and what inspired you to choose it?
My major is elementary education. I chose it because I really enjoy making a difference in the lives of youth and I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else.

What's been your favorite class and why?
My favorite class at Knox has been any of the education classes because in those I get to travel to the schools in Galesburg to help teach. I love being able to help with the children in the community and learn while I'm doing it.

Have you studied abroad while at Knox?
Last May, I traveled to Italy to play basketball with an organization called American International Sports Tours. When I wasn't playing basketball there, I got to travel and learn so much about the Italian culture. It was 10 days long and one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life.

What has been your greatest athletic challenge?
When you play "System" basketball, you cannot feel sorry for yourself after making a mistake. Learning to let things go has been a challenge for me, but I hope to keep improving on that in the upcoming year.

What has been your greatest athletic achievement?
Playing colligate basketball. This has been my dream ever since I was a little girl, so I really couldn't ask for anything more.

What do you enjoy most about your team?
Honestly, everything. The girls on the team are my best friends and I wouldn't trade any of them for the world. We all support each other so much on and off the court.

How do you think being a student-athlete at Knox will benefit you after you graduate?
It has taught me organization, perseverance, teamwork, confidence, and communication. All these attributes are things that will help me in the real world with anything I do.

What's something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I actually really enjoy writing poetry, but I don't let other people read it.
