How did you learn about Knox?
I found out about Knox through football. I got a call from Coach Andy Gibbons. He brought me up for a visit and let me see what Knox was all about.
Since you came to Knox, how have you changed?
I feel as though I developed into respectable young man. I am not as shy by any means and feel I can handle my own in situations I would not have imagined being in five years ago.
What are your interests and hobbies?
I will honestly admit that I love to dance. I also love playing football and being very involved. I like to stay busy on campus, so my involvement in sports, dance, and my fraternity is just perfect. In what free time I give myself, I like to dabble on the old six string guitar.
How would you describe campus life at Knox?
I would call Knox campus life "interciting," exciting and interesting at the same time. Having such a wide range of diversity on campus is very interesting. It's then exciting to watch us all mingle, interact, and work together as a Knox community.
How would you describe academic life at Knox?
Academic life is hard but manageable. School is school and it will of course be hard, but it's up to you to do the work. If you don't get the work done it is your fault because the staff is very helpful and want you to do well. They don't set you up to fail.
What's been your hardest class?
Econ micro and macro were my hardest classes. My mind just wasn't working the econ way.
What is your favorite place on campus? Off campus?
I love going to campus events whether that be sporting or not. To study I like to go to my secret spot in the library which I will not share due to it being a secret and all. I also enjoy studying in the Rodge Lodge. It has just the right amount of noise and distraction. I also enjoy using our great weight room facilities, and I of course love my fraternity house of Beta Theta Pi.
Have you done any volunteering/community service during your time at Knox?
My fraternity requires that we do community service in the Knox community. We often go to after cares at schools and play with kids or do dog walking at the animal shelter. We are also involved with the Cardboard Boat Regatta and the Polar Plunge.
What's the most important thing you've learned at Knox outside the classroom?
I have learned how rewarding it is to follow through on my commitments, to really give it my all.
