How did you learn about this opportunity?
I found the internship myself, through the Internet. However, I was in an off-campus entrepreneur program in Chicago through the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM), and the director of the program Robyne Hart helped me a lot on internship hunting and my future career path. She was very encouraging and I really appreciated that.
Can you cite an example of how your classroom experiences at Knox have benefited you in the internship?
The communication skills and ability to work in a team are extremely important. The different projects we did in the classroom are very helpful in terms of practicing these skills. The course BUS343 Strategic Brand Management I took was particularly useful in terms of preparing me for the business world. Knox also encourages us to explore different things, which inspires me to pursue a challenging career.
How do you think this experience will benefit you in terms of your personal development?
Being able to work in one of the biggest public relations and communications firms is a great opportunity for me to get to know the industry and get hands-on experiences.
What inspired you to pursue the internship?
I would love to network with other people in this industry and be exposed to the real business world before my last year in college.
