Author, Historian, Journalist, and Economists Recognized with Alumni Achievement Awards

B.J. Hollars graduated from Knox less than 10 years ago, but he has already written or edited six books. His seventh, Dispatches from Drowning, is due out this year. Hollars and four other alumni who have seen success in journalism, history, and mathematics were recognized for their achievements during Knox’s Founder’s Day Convocation in February. Student Starts Nonprofit to Show Anything Is Possible

Starting and maintaining a nonprofit organization can be a daunting task. For sophomore Charlie Harned, founder of the Anything Is Possible Education Foundation, it's his passion. Harned and a group of Knox students started an organization that provides free ACT tutoring and scholarships to high school seniors who truly believe and exemplify the idea that anything is possible. Knox in New York Takes Students to Museums, Galleries

Combine a term learning about studio art and art history with a trip over winter break to see -- up close -- what you’ve spent the term studying, and you have Knox in New York. This distinctive educational experience took students to the Big Apple for tours of museums, work at the New York Studio School, and career networking with alumni successful in the art world. Meet Your Class: Attend Admitted Student Days
All admitted students are invited to experience life as a Knox student. Attend classes, meet with professors and coaches, eat with students in the cafeteria, and meet your future classmates. Enjoy a music, theatre, or dance performance, or cheer on the Prairie Fire at an athletic event. This is your opportunity to experience Knox! Register for Admitted Student Days on April 4 or 18 at www.knox.edu/admittedstudentdays.

Schedule a Personal Visit
If you can’t attend Admitted Student Days, you can schedule a personal visit to Knox. Visits will include a student-guided tour of campus and an opportunity to meet with your admission counselor. You can also talk with professors and coaches, observe a class, and eat lunch with students in the Hard Knox Cafe. Register at www.knox.edu/visit.
