Knox College was founded on the principal of learning while serving. Today, the Kleine Center for Community Service coordinates and manages a wide range of volunteer service and charitable activities, working with students, student organizations, faculty, and staff.

Knox College is one of five institutions recognized as a FINALIST for the 2014 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll!  Knox is one of four finalists chosen from nearly 800 schools.

The President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, launched in 2006, annually highlights the role colleges and universities play in solving community problems and placing more students on a lifelong path of civic engagement by recognizing institutions that achieve meaningful, measureable outcomes in the communities they serve.

Knox has now been recognized five times in the last six years on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. Knox was selected to be on the Honor Roll in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012.  In 2013, Knox was recognized on the Honor Roll with Distinction.

Knox College is sponsoring the Community Connections Volunteer Fair, Thursday, January 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Lincoln Room. Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate and meet with our Galesburg community partners to learn about different opportunities to serve Galesburg. Sign in for your chance to win a door prize! Light refreshments will be served.
