Federal, State and Local Laws

The campus is not a sanctuary from local, state or federal law. While Knox College can have its own rules and regulations, all members of the campus also must follow local, state and federal law. Members of the campus may be charged with or convicted for the same conduct in accord with campus policies and procedures. It is important for students to realize that the laws of the state of Illinois as they relate to alcohol consumption do apply on the Knox College campus. Furthermore, it is important for students to realize that federal law and state law as they relate to the possession of drugs do apply to the Knox College campus.
