An Extraordinary Year

Last year was an extraordinary year in our country because of the Great Recession. It was an extraordinary year at Knox College despite the Great Recession.

Colleges and universities around the country faced last year's economic challenges in a variety of ways, many cutting academic programs, faculty, and staff. Thanks to institutional self-confidence, Knox took a different approach to the challenges faced last year. We did some belt tightening, but we protected our core-the educational program and our faculty. And we did this, while pushing ahead with admission and advancement goals.
