2010 President's Report

Knox College remains committed to access for all students regardless of means, a mission expressly stated in the College's original Circular and Plan 174 years ago.

The 2009/2010 academic and fiscal year challenged Knox in many ways, from an increase in student financial need to the continuing challenge to balance the College's budget, but it also reaffirmed Knox's mission. Knox was reaccredited; faculty continued to teach and to lead in their academic fields; students succeeded in and out of the classroom; alumni generously gave more to the College than in years past; the budget was balanced; and Admission recruited a strong class.

In short, Knox faced its challenges and remained true to its mission.
