Network Printing

Many printers on campus are connected to the network and can be used by all faculty, staff, and students.

It's a good idea to make sure that a given printer is ready to go -- full paper load, on-line, no jams -- before you send a print job. If you are sending a job to a distant printer, you need to get to it as soon as possible or arrange for someone else to do so for you. Someone finding your print job in a networked printer may not recognize it as important and might toss it.

Printing Fees
The Knox College Student Senate has voted to put recycled paper in campus printers and to offset the increase in cost by instituting a charge for printing over a fixed number of pages, currently 300 pages (exceptions apply). There is, of course, some fine print covering prinitng for clubs or departments, and for honors research or special projects. For more details, read the student printing and billing FAQ.
