Network Applications Server

Macintosh Applications

You will need to establish a persistent connection to the network in order to use any network based application. The following instructions should help you create such a connection.

Connecting to the Application for Mac OS X 10.6 and higher

  1. From the Finder (top menu), select Go and then Connect to Server.
  2. For the Server Address:, enter smb://sharedapps.knox.edu/mac-apps and click Connect.

  3. When prompted, enter your Knox username and e-mail password and click Connect

Once you have performed these steps, your machine is connected to the server that hosts the applications available for your use, on the sever volume Mac-Apps.

Note: Many of the applications have some installation procedures requiring you to perform certain steps on your machine. If you are unsure what you need to do to run any network based application, please call the Help Desk at extension 7700.
