Field Studies in Tanzania

The ACM Tanzania: Ecology & Human Origins program offers adaptable students the exciting opportunity to conduct field work in some of the world's greatest paleoanthropological and ecological sites, and to immerse themselves in Tanzanian language and culture. This program is best suited for students with an interest in Animal Behavior, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Geology, Medical Anthropology, and Archaeology.

The Kemper Scholars Program (First-year students)
Presented by Professors John A. Spittell and current Kemper Scholars
The Kemper Scholars Program prepares students for leadership and service, especially in the fields of administration and business. The Foundation believes that undergraduate study of the liberal arts offers the best preparation for life and career; thus the program aims to promote education in the liberal arts while providing opportunities for career exploration, practical experience, and professional growth. Kemper Scholars receive significant financial assistance, summer project and internship assistance, and mentoring. Only 15 colleges and universities are invited participants in this program. Each year Kemper awards a Scholarship to one student from each participating institution. Applications are only available to first-year students.

Off-Campus Application Workshop (MANDATORY for students planning to study off-campus next year)
Presented by Professor Mike Schneider, Director of the Center for Global Studies and Sunshine Regiacorte, Coordinator of the Center for Global Studies
All students planning to participate in a Knox approved or student initiated off-campus study program during the 2011-2012 academic year MUST ATTEND this workshop. We'll explain the application procedures and answer your questions. This workshop is NOT required for students participating in one of the Knox programs in Barcelona, Besançon, or Buenos Aires.
