Non-Traditional Students Club

The Non-Traditional Students Club at Knox College provides support and service to non-traditional students. Are you a non-traditional student? In other words, are you a parent, working a full-time job, a little older than the average college student—or all of the above?

The Non-Traditional Students Club at Knox College provides support and service to non-traditional students who are often juggling jobs and family in addition to pursuing their bachelor's degrees but who want to be as connected to the Knox community as students who live on campus.

The club's twice-a-month luncheon meetings provide an easy way to get together and share. Children are welcome to attend with their parent(s). Meetings provide a venue for shared experiences, a place to ask questions, state concerns and learn coping techniques.

While this club is designed to support non-traditional students, it is open to any student on campus; one goal of the club is to educate others about non-traditional students and their unique role in the campus community.

The Non-traditional Student Club is also involved in serving the community. Activities include a campus-wide pizza/movie night, organizing a booth for the International Fair, and helping with Habitat for Humanity.
