Knox College conducted its 166th Commencement exercises on the South Lawn of Old Main. Nationally known eco-entrepreneur Majora Carter and Knox senior Jordan Lanfair addressed the Class of 2011 before President Roger L. Taylor '63 welcomed the graduates to the alumni community. Kate Maehr, chief executive officer of the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and Majora Carter were each awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters.
