Fall athletes and parents (football, volleyball, men's soccer, women's soccer, cross country, and women's tennis) will check in at T. Fleming Fieldhouse from 8:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18.  

The campus welcome for new fall students athletes will take place on Monday, August 18, at 2:00 p.m. in Kresge Recital Hall located in the Center for the Fine Arts (CFA).

Move-In Day Schedule

8:00-11:00 a.m. -- Arrival
Check in, pick up your keys, and move into your residence hall!
T. Fleming Fieldhouse

8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. -- ID Photos
Get your photo taken for your Knox ID, which you will need to enter the Hard Knox Café for supper.
Dining Services Office, southwest corner of Seymour Union

2:00 p.m. -- Campus Welcome
Knox welcomes all new student athletes (first-year and transfer), families, and friends!
Kresge Recital Hall, CFA

3:00 p.m. -- Time for Goodbyes

Starting at 3:15 p.m. -- Attend Your Team Meeting

  • Men's and women's cross country at 3:30 p.m., Round Room, Ford Center for Fine Arts (parents and athletes meet with coaching staff, followed by parent good-byes, then team meeting at 4:15 p.m.)
  • Football at 3:15 p.m., Team Room, lower level of Memorial Gym
  • Men's soccer at 3:00 p.m., Room 208, Ford Center for Fine Arts
  • Women's soccer at 4:00 p.m., Taylor Lounge, Seymour Hall
  • Volleyball at 4:00 p.m., Room 200, Memorial Gym
  • Women's tennis at 3:00 p.m., Hall of Fame Room, Memorial Gym
  • Family and Friends: Drop in at the College Life Table Fair in the lobby of CFA. College centers and staff will be on hand with information about special programs and services.

5:00 p.m. -- Fall Sports Physicals
All athletes must check-in. A physical is required prior to participation. If you received a physical from your personal physician, bring the form with you and turn it in at this time. Physicals will also be available on Tuesday, September 16, at 6:30 p.m. Learn more about athletic physical examinations.

7:00-10:00 p.m. -- Supper
Students are required to use their Knox ID at all dining facilities for all meals throughout the year.

Important Dates

New Student Orientation -- Begins Wednesday, September 10

Classes Begin -- Monday, September 15
Classes begin at 8:00 a.m., and Opening Convocation is at 11:00 a.m. in Harbach Theatre, CFA.
