The Art Collections at Knox College

Knox College's Art Collection is composed of works on canvas, prints, ceramics and sculpture. Particularly strong in prints, the Famulener Collection and the Howard A. Wilson Collection include works by Rembrandt, Durer, Whistler, Roualt, and Leger as well as others.

The art collections are a significant part of the academic program and support classroom work in printmaking and art history. Works from the collections are frequently used in exhibits on campus for the college community and the public as well. The online exhibit, Outside the Shadow of Rembrandt, was first a mounted exhibit in Seymour Library. It was an exhibit executed entirely by students as part of an art history class.

The Keith Achepohl and the Clare Smith collections are composed of prints by these artists, both of whom are graduates of Knox.
