Library Reference Service

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to seek assistance, via email or phone, from a member of the reference staff:

Additionally, reference librarians are available to lend assistance while working at the Reference Desk (341-7228) in Seymour Library.

During academic terms the Reference Desk at Seymour Library is staffed:

Monday: 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Tuesday: 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Wednesday: 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Thursday: 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Friday: 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Saturday: no reference hours
Sunday: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

On-call reference help is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings.

Reference materials in the Science Library and in the Scripps Reference Room (on the first floor of Seymour Library) are used heavily by patrons and staff and therefore cannot be borrowed. However, many types of databases and other resources are available online at any time of the day or night.
