Gifts of Cash, Check, or Credit Card

An outright gift made via cash, check, or credit card will entitle you to claim a charitable income tax deduction for the full value of the gift. Under federal tax laws, the current-year charitable deduction will be limited to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income. You can, however, carry forward any excess deduction for a period of five additional years.

If you are interested in making a gift of cash, you can make your contribution with your MasterCard or Visa by phone at 888-KNOXCOL (888-566-9265) toll-free in the United States or 309-341-7233 or by Making a Gift Online using our secure server. You can make a single gift or have monthly installments billed to your credit card.

Each donor’s tax situation is unique. Contact your advisor regarding the deductibility of your gift.
