All alumni are encouraged to "come home" to Knox for Reunion celebrations. Knox celebrates Reunions during Homecoming festivities each October. Reunion events are intermingled with Homecoming events, including an All-Class Taste of Galesburg reception on Friday evening and a dinner on Saturday evening. Some Reunion classes plan other events to celebrate their return to campus, such as a tailgate before the football game, class receptions at area bars and restaurants, or a Sunday brunch.
A friendly competition between classes culminates at Homecoming Convocation, when the Ralph Walter Prize is awarded to the Reunion class having the highest giving percentage and the Attendance Award is given to the class with the greatest number of registered class members.
