| Dear President's Circle Members, As one of the 1,400 members of the President's Circle, you sustain George Washington Gale's idea to found a college on the Western prairie that would provide a classical education to all promising students. This is an idea we bring to life every day here at Knox through our educational program. Students pursue rigorous intellectual endeavors, which transform them into informed and engaged global citizens. You are all vital links in the chain of giving that goes back to Gale's extraordinarily powerful idea. Through your generous gifts, you make possible the Knox of tomorrow. For this, I am most deeply grateful. Thank you. Sincerely,
|
It's Time to Lead with Your Gift!
The President's Circle recognizes individuals, businesses, and organizations who give to Knox College at a leadership level, beginning with annual gifts of $1,837 or more. Whether it's an annual gift to the Knox Fund, a gift to renovate a building, or an endowed scholarship, gifts from President's Circle members make up 90 percent of all gift support to the College. These gifts have a lasting impact on Knox -- its students, faculty, staff, and educational program.
Annual gifts to the Knox Fund
These are the gifts that make up the difference between what Knox receives in tuition and endowment revenue and the annual cost of running the College. Knox Fund gifts support everything from research to athletic uniforms and scholarships to faculty salaries.
Capital gifts
These gifts help to transform Knox's campus. For example, they may be gifts to transform Alumni Hall or add elevators to Old Main.
Endowment gifts
These gifts are made to ensure the future of Knox. They are significant gifts of which only the income is spent each year. Examples are gifts to endow faculty chairs, student scholarships, and centers of learning.
